Under a cooperative membership agreement with Mi Milk Maidens, members pay an annual $25 membership fee (prorated quarterly for those joining mid-year, and renewable every January).  Members then pay monthly fees to cover the care and boarding and of their cows, as well as delivery costs, in proportion to the milk you receive.  

The fee for one share is $28 per month, and in exchange for each share you purchase, you are entitled to the equivalent of one gallon of fresh milk per week from your cows.  Half shares are available for $14, which would entitle you to the equivalent of one gallon every other week.  Because this is a herd share rather than a cow share, you are not restricted to the number of shares purchased each month, and you may request as many or as few shares per month (in whole or half-share increments) as needed for you and your family.  The number of gallons per monthly share will vary depending on the number of delivery days in that month (i.e. if your delivery day is on Monday, then in a month with five Mondays, you would receive five gallons of milk per share in that month).

Standing orders are preferred, in which case you agree to pick up the same number of gallons each week and each month throughout the year, though changes may be made as needed. Gallons left over from paid shares in one month will be rolled over into the following month, in which case you may request fewer units the following month, or as needed.  However, if you request gallons for delivery and do not pick them up (i.e. you request milk for a delivery but don’t pick it up, and don’t contact Mi Milk Maidens to make other arrangements), those gallons cannot be rolled over. 

Monthly share fees can be in the form of cash or check, and should be made before or at the first delivery day of each month. You must inform Mi Milk Maidens by two days before delivery day of any changes in delivery location or number of gallons requested for that delivery.

• Monday afternoons in Downtown Otsego: 2:15 - 2:30 pm

• Monday afternoons in NW Kalamazoo (near M-43 & Hwy 131): 3:00 - 3:30 pm

• Tuesday evenings in Downtown Kalamazoo: 5:30 – 6:00 pm

• Wednesday afternoons in SE Portage (near Sprinkle & Center): 4:00 - 4:30 pm

• Every other Thursday evening in S Battle Creek (near I-94 & Hwy 66): 5:30 – 6:00 pm
